ceebeeby I know just what you mean!! I put off doing mine and in the end it was a 15 min job!!
tried to log in earlier today to add someone to my waiting list but couldn't get in
Hee-hee, it'll be everyone trying to update at the last minute like us!! Try again now, it was really fast for me (although I still think it's quite a dippily designed system!!!)0 -
Ive just had the briefest of power cuts....literally seconds, but my sky box doesnt like it when it loses power and will refuse to come back on for 5 mins! *insert  smilie*
Ive started reading Twilight to see what all the fuss is about - Ive hardly started and so far, Im gripped! Think I will read for a while and have an early night.
Ours does this all the time - our power blows about 3 times a day, and each time Sky takes about 5 mins even though we've got it in a power protector. (We took out the Sky insurance because are convinced one day it won't come back on!!!)
DD is gripped with Twilight, and she picked up the last one from the library yesterday, and now keeps walking into walls as she won't put it down :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Apparently the films are good too, but I didn't get it personally??
The smiley removals are in-sane btw

Get dressed and go out in time to get to the bank - missed it by 2 minutes
Buy new slippers for DS2 and some index cards for DS1's revision - done (his shoes are all still ok)
Do food shopping - partially done
Tidy the kitchen (about 2 HHCs)
Tidy the LR (ditto, if I include stairs) - started by getting DS2 to tidy some toys
Come up with an idea for tea - aiming for minimum effort and maximum yumm-factor - managed the minimum effort...
Do one of my two major jobs for school
Decide whether I'm going out with DH tonight - not, but the atmosphere is slightly less frosty
DS2 and I can't just 'nip into town' without it taking ages. I really don't know what happens to time when we get there. We did all the jobs on the list, then went to a discount books shop (bought 3 books for me - 501 important speeches, feeding family cheaply book and a yummy cupcake book - and 3 for DS2 for about £15). Then some food in the market cafe and a stop at Netto's on the way home. We'd been gone for over 4 hours.
Since coming home we decluttered one of DS2's new pairs of slippers to friends where he goes once a week after school. Fed DH (pilchards on toast - he was not impressed, but think he didn't dare complain
), put shopping away, emptied WM, put socks etc in TD and everything else on the airer, emptied DW.
Next:
Shout at self to do some very urgent flying - looks like we have DS1's 'female friend' staying tonight. Must check if her parents know exactly where she is spending the night, otherwise it will be a lift home! Don't want to get an angry phone call from irate parent. Must also talk to him tomorrow about the wisdom of tricking me by only giving me half of the information. Also need food and another cuppa!
See you all later.

Maybe your problem is that you go off piste when you visit town. You say you did all the jobs on the list but then.......
What you should perhaps focus on is concentrating on the list THEN GO HOME without passing Go and without collecting (or spending!) x amount of money. I suspect the discount book shop wasn't on the list, nor was the stop off at the market cafe....
But then again, if you had quality time with DS2 it's all worth it xxx
And well done you on being a responsible parent and checking up that female friends parents know exactly where she is xxxI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Sorry for worrying you Toots - and thank you too :A
I am better but have been deliberately having quiet evenings this week so I could recover.
I have done virtually no flying and little else apart from go to work. I have no inclination to do anything apart from curl up on the sofa and shut the world away.
I need to work at a manageable list for the coming week to get myself back on track - I'm thinking Level One plus one other flying task and 2 of my own little things each day. I am way behind on everything
(I haven't even read a paper this week).
I have had a skim through the thread and would like to say Happy Birthday to those I've missed this week and to offer a huge hug to anyone who would like one.
And special hugs and prayers for you Toots :A and for L-L xx"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Huh, it's 10pm on a Saturday night and I can think of nothing better to do than wash coats, clean shoes and repair a couple of pairs of trousers! What a sad life I live!!!!0

Just noticed its Master W's birthday so

hope you had a lovely day x
Have filled the WM again but I only have a couple of loads so thats good (for me !). Just about to get DS1 back home from the yard and he has been under lorries all day so he'll be stinking of oil and goodness only knows what else so his working gear will need to go straight in.
Toots thanks for the hugs honey. I was living on my nerves as that is totally out of character for DS2 he always tells me where he is going and I don't allow him far just to his friends house over the wall or his other pal 3 doors down. Please try to take it easy I know it's easy to say butplease please try xx
thanks to all for the get well wishes
