ETA what do you use brie for??? I know it's cheese but that's it! stupid OH bought a whoopsie for 10p and it needs to be used by Monday any advice PM me!
It'll probably be fine will after Monday - unless it's really running it lasts ages. And you can freeze it and use it for cooking (it's nice grilled on top of avocado on toast :D).

I've read all the interesting bits of the paper... only the boring stuff left, but I think I'm going to go to be. I'm down on my steps for the day but don't feel like going out in the cold and dark to make them up! So an early-ish night tonight and hopefully the energy to get more stuff done tomorrow...
  • funfairyprincess, I love Brie

If you need to make any sandwiches for Monday, Bacon and Brie is lovely, add some mango chutney and it's even nicer!

Is it a small triangle or a round? This can alter what you use it for

ETA, http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes/Brie lots of ideas there x
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

    Afternoon ladies!
Question though - do any of you have a memory foam mattress or one with a memory foam topper on it? I've heard mixed reviews about them - I've heard that you can get very hot on them because of the nature of the moulding to your body thing? Is it worth buying one, or should I just stick to a pocket sprung mattress?

I'm heading back out to the bed shop again with OH when he gets home, so we can try some out (lying down on them).

Looking forward to your answers on this one.

I see you have from a futher post, that you bought one...
    I love mine :j
I used to be in agony every morning, with back pain, before I got mine.
I think I have a similar one to the one you have bought...
It is honestly the best thing I have ever spent money on. Tis sooooo comfy :o:cool:
I think you spend too long in bed, not to be comfortable in it.
Initially, I did find it incredibly hot... but that only lasted about a week, till I got used to it :D

Huh, it's 10pm on a Saturday night and I can think of nothing better to do than wash coats, clean shoes and repair a couple of pairs of trousers! What a sad life I live!!!!

Thats not sad at all Ceebeeby.... thats incredibly organised ;):T
I am sure the time that you are taking to do that, will come in handy at another point in time :D

Ok... I am off to find a list... as, I have actually managed to do some of my list

What you should perhaps focus on is concentrating on the list THEN GO HOME without passing Go and without collecting (or spending!) x amount of money. I suspect the discount book shop wasn't on the list, nor was the stop off at the market cafe....

But then again, if you had quality time with DS2 it's all worth it xxx

And well done you on being a responsible parent and checking up that female friends parents know exactly where she is xxx

You are right, of course. I really need to think properly about the list and write it down, share it with DS2 and still make it fun for him. Maybe we can stop off somewhere for a picnic on the way home and feed the ducks. Also, if I time the trip better we won't get caught out at mealtimes in town. At least we don't have mad dashes for a loo anymore. He's really good with that - much better than many Y7 kids who can't manage a lesson without needing to go.
Thanks. You've made me realise that I can really manage this better and still have fun. Maybe the treat at the end of shopping could be a visit to the cinema. Not exactly money/time saving, but something I said we'd do soon.

i have one of the toppers.. but as they are latex I have to have a mattress protector on as well.. and it is absolutely boiling.. I end up kicking off the duvet most nights it is so hot.. i never have the heating on in my room either.. I am not usually a cold person though.

It has helped hugely with my arthritis in my hips and knees.. though my back is killing.. but that is due to my tummy muscles being nonexistant.

    You're welcome love xx

But wait right there - don't make the treat at the end of shopping a visit to the cinema - that's a very expensive and non interactive thing to do. Far better for a one to one mother/son interlude is to buy a loaf of bread, a couple of apples and a quarter pound of cheese from the market, then go to the park to feast on hand ripped chunks of bread and cheese, interspersed with bites of apple whilst feeding the ducks the scrag end of the loaf at the same time. You can also talk which you can't do in the cinema.

Hmmm, I agree with at least four of those...several of the others I haven't even heard of :o
