The giving up/cutting down alcohol thread part VI

Planning a holiday - outskirts of cumbria nearish to Ullswater or up in Northumberland for the first time

May even have an AF hol too if I am on my own then with my dog

Can't make my mind up between the 2 atm

Peace and quiet and countryside is all I need to recharge my batteries.

Thought if I planned this while AF then I will go for a summer hol instead of forever procrastinating about it like the last 2 years have been and waiting for my now ex to invite me and he did not

Anyhow AF tonight making it a ginormous 2 AFD for FAFF

Nearly smoked the kitchen down roasting a chicken so all doors and windows have been open airing the place out - nice not!

Hi everyone. well done to all FAFF'ers :jand Hello to new folks.:wave:

Today - Had an "away-day" at work. Presented with a re-structuring by new head of dept.Quite scarey really and most of us can't see how it will all work. We'll have personal scorecards and "stretch targets". :eek:

Then dashed in to Tesco for a few things and emerged 40 mins later having spent £89. Nearly fainted! I thought it was about £50.

Then off to assessment with Alcohol Counselling service. It was ok but assessor was not a counsellor and had no appreciation of what I was talking about I felt. Very nice and friendly though. There is a waiting list of perhaps months so feeling quite disappointed that I'd made the move but will have to wait ages.

It's great to be around people on this forum who understand!

Got home to unpack tesco stuff and DS1's bus had not turned up yet again so set off back to where I'd come from! Home at 7:45 at last.
Not AF yet but hope to get going some day this week.

Sparkles....your house has GOT to smell better than mine. Poorly OH is steaming his head but overdid the olbas oil a bit!!:eek:

2 for me please Fay - was just faffing with the Ice Road Truckers. For some reason I'm a bit addicted to that programme

Piglet coughing well in his sleep...think I'm NOT going to get a full nights sleep in me own bed tonight:(

That we do! Sorry you felt disappointed the the Alcohol Counselling Service. Lets hope they get you an appointment soon and that you don't wait months.

and 35 in total - which must be my longest ever for over 20 years! Am suffering severely from hypersomnia - hopefully will settle soon.

Been faffing most of day on fb playing bejeweled blitz!! lol Took day off work to help sister move but then it's rained so i've been housebound - wipers still broke on car :mad:


and Yep I agree Fay's post are v inspirational; ty. Am proud to say I can go to a shop at bells o'clock and not even look at the isle! Hmmmm still one would never be enough!
