A question for the giver uppers. Did you find a lot of your old 'friends' fell by the wayside? I am finding that now the alcohol blinkers are off I am seeing some people in a new and not necesarily flattering light. (I'm sure it's a mutual thing!)Any tips for this?
A few, but not as many as I thought. Some of my big drinking friends have just calmed down now they are having children etc, so they are still friends.
My more recent drinking buddies (the ones I never saw when we were not drinking together) have largely gone from my life. That is because we have little in common any more. Some of those were toxic relationships too. They don't want to spend time with me if I am not drinking, and I don't want to spend time with them if they are getting smashed!!
They are still the same, and I wish them well. It is just that I have changed (for the better I feel)
Someone once told me that there are 2 types of friends, Energy Givers and Energy Takers. Energy Takers you dread seeing, and feel they bring you down. You should have fewer of these friends in your life0 -
Well, should say earnt really  doing a GFK monthly household survey....Only ever get a quid every now and again, never win the 2k obviously. But today I won £2 and was jubilant, then an hour later they sent me another £5 *confused but happy*DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0
