I have had a bit of a disasterous start to the month and have drunk on three days so far - bang goes my target. I didn't drink a huge amount on any of the days. What is it that GC says about changing targets to fit the drinking?
So I shall judt start over again....

Good thinking! :T You can start the month again. You may not hit the target, but you can choose to start from today. If I am having a bad day, I sometimes start my day again. I have a few minutes time out (could be in the bogs:eek:) and settle myself. Just because it started badly does not mean it has to end badly.

I know for me (being an alcoholic) that I would change my targets and goals to suit my drinking. Non-alcoholics change their drinking to suit their targets/goals

I have seemed to have begun to be allergic to alcohol though, my mouth swells up, well my gums to be precise something chronic, a friend at work (well, old work ) her lips and tongue swells up when she drinks alcohol. Funny cos it only started happening last year and she's the same age as me

I turned pretty allergic to alcohol too in the last few years - how I react to it flushing away and a rash from head to neck

    JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you wanna hold my hand tonight?

I've outstretched it to you to remain AF
:bdaycake:this is for tomorrow and your puds sound scrumilicious :D

p.s. it is 11yrs since I stopped smoking - sometimes the fumes smell attractive and very occasionally I feel tempted but not often and then the cravings go. Never had another one in 11yrs :D

Sparkles, you'd best take me off this list... :o

Not got my head in gear for April - think the only way to start is to always be AF on the 1st free-confused-smileys-423.gif

I had my last drink on the 25th of the month
Molly Polly had her last drink on the 6th of the month

You don't have to stop on the first to stop. No time like the present.

My alcoholism told me that I could always stop tomorrow, next week, next month, year, etc
It lied to me. It was always in the future that I thought I'd be able to stop
I now know that my alcoholism told me these things to keep me drinking.
Eventually I took some action and decided to stop today. For I only needed to not drink for 24 hours. That's how I cope with sobriety - one foot in front of the other, one day at a time.

    Well I'm HUFFing tired tonight.

HUFFed off with a large tea of spag bol so prob no exercise tonight will see accompanied with the refreshing drinks of squash and tea

    HUFFed to AFD6

HB - my last drink was on 16 March - any day is fine to stop you don't always have to start on day 1 of the month

Right off to dream about gorgeous puds now and wish my waistline was smaller. Really had better cut down on the sugar intake now

Oh dear, I don't think I explained myself well :o I know you can be AF or stop any day, it's just for me from a cutting down point of view I find it easier to cut down in a month which I've started being AF. I do have quite an anal* mindset for some things - I'm the sort of person who will straighten up picture frames... :o

*am surprised I got this through the filters too!

    Evening all

Talking of expanding waistlines...I've just ate a chocolate brownie AND a mini flake..and I haven't even had dinner yet!! I have SUCH a sweet tooth lately its unreal.

As part of the effort to put more time and effort into myself, today I went to work with contact lenses in, makeup on and hair done nice. No less than 8 (yes bloody 8!!!!) people asked me who I was trying to impress!! I did get in a huff at one point and said tomorrow I'll go in looking like a sack of carp...much to their amusement. Thats what I get for working with a group thats predominantly men I suppose!!:rotfl:Sarky devils!

Piglet come down with a stinking cold this afternoon, poor thing. So not holding out much hope for a good nights sleep!:( WHy are kids ALWAYS poorly!!

HB - don't give up!! Come on, loads of april left. Just start again!!

    Miss P
    xx

Miss P, I'm sure you looked gorgeous :)

Besides, you'd be even more huffy if no-one had noticed :p :rotfl:
