ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Morning all,
Didn't achieve AF'ness yesterday, had one guinness down t'pub so although it wasn't an AF day I refuse to take my 5 weeks and 2 days out of my signature....so there
Have a good day all, looking forward to the Easter hols, bloomin exhausted doing 2 peoples jobs for the last couple of weeks!
Speak to you later xxDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Hi Guys,
Managed OK on ther flight yesterday and in the lounge, so it's a well over a week now for me. Wife has also been AF so we're all happy. She's still not understanding debt very well though. Small steps I guess: I cannot expect her to drop everything on day one. Quite pleased with myself really. Haven't had the dark moments, and I know they'll come, but I have made some important discoveries this week about what I want to be as a person, as a husband and as a father and all of these discoveries were about my relationship with alcohol and the people whom I love.
My skin is nice a clear, really feel clear headed, have been doing lots of miles on the bike, so it really, really is a win win.
I know if there is a crate of beer under the stairs, that if i want one, I'll drink until it's either gone or I am asleep. So, at the moment, I have decided I cannot be trusted to have anything. It's strangely galvanised me.
Thanks guys. Not even sure when the last time I had a drink was, but I know it was last week sometime.
Have a good weekend: my computer is going off at 3.30 and will not be turned on until Monday AM. Another promise I have made to myself.Looking for a fresh start without credit.0 -

MOD - a bit of 'fun' and something to open up the eyes debt wise is to keep a spending diary
www.spendingdiary.com
Its how I started out on my route to the land of DFW
You might also want a go at hte 'budget britian' thing on here which you can save online and keep looking at how your 'budget' is changing

The demotivator is amazing for adding up spends (for me it was alcohol) and going OMG when you get how much a year you waste on it or other stuff

Well done on avoiding the booze on the plane and enjoy your weekend - please please please can we do a chilli deal
Waves to JoI have had ONE glass of wine last night - my usual downfall is a Friday night so last night's glass was a wee treat to remind me that its not necessary to consume an entire bottle tonight - I avoided it last week (thanks jo! and RA) and am now thinking of other ways to change my habits.
Weasther is foul here and OH is due up later - some boats already cancelled me thinks
Off for a cuppa
Jo - you sound exhausted!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Morning all
How are we all doing?
Had a funny moment yesterday. OH came home to say we were invited to his friends house soon for dinner (we never go out to friends like that so its quite an occasion for us!:D) but my immediate thing was to start worrying about whether I should drink or not!!!. How utterly ridiculous! Guess that gives me the clue that I drink to give me confidence? I don't know. Will think on it for a while before deciding what to do.
Anyway, must dash as off to do Mrs Mop job this morning at my SIL's.
Catch you all later
Miss P

Absolutely on the chilli deal! Just had a look and I have around 6/7 of each of the varieties I have grown come through: will be potting some later. I'll think how I can get them to you.
Bhut Jolokias taking their sweet time, but they do. I have some nice ornamental ones (although still firey), long ones, fat ones, ugly ones! Name a variety you like and I'll see if I can nuture one to travelling stage for you.Looking for a fresh start without credit.0 -

If anyone is around Good Friday or Easter Saturday then I'm up for meeting up in the Londinium area@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? Feb = 5/14 Mar = 14/20 Apr = 6/14 May = 2/14 June 2/14 July 0/TF Aug 1/TFv Sept 6/TF Oct 4/7"NEVER DOUBT YOUR OWN QUALITY"0 -
If anyone is around Good Friday or Easter Saturday then I'm up for meeting up in the Londinium area
What dates are those
Just working off when I'm south - I'm in Ed - from next Friday - kids go to Daddykins on Sat late pm/early Sunday
Aside that I have no 'real' plans as of yet
Thinking of training it down Ed-London
Or might go visit surrogate mum in deepest darkest englandshire and hop on a train from the north of england??
Guess need to work that out soon - and I've not lost any/enough weight yet!!
MOD - I normally post stuff at the 4 true leaf stage and its fine without compost and in something like a takeaway tub/bag with air in.......
Will think on about chilli's - I am not a fan of anything ornamental - if I can't eat it - I don't want to give it window space - but that's only cos I am losing both the greenhouse and the conservatory this year!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
