Hi folks,
I'm new to this thread, have looked a few times but never posted.
I have been drinking 3-4 bottles a wine a week for a fair while now probably 5 years anyway. Never said I have had a serious problem but want to either cut down or even better give up all together.
Why now you may ask ?
Well I went out and had a blow out with a few mates last Thursday and on the Friday I have never been so ill for ages with a hangover, 31 now and can't do it anymore.
Friday was alcohol free as you can imagine. Saturday I had 3 glasses of wine and one vodka and then decided enough was enough. It's now Wednesday and I haven't had a drink since Saturday. Last night was the hardest so far with the football being on.
I have a stressful job at times and in the past there is nothing I have liked more than coming home, having a nice dinner and a bottle of wine to myself. Wife only likes the occasional vodka and coke.
Dad and step Dad both had serious drink problems ( one has been awol since I was 7 and the other is dead). I want to make sure that doesn't happen to my family. I have two great kids a 5yr old and a baby.
I would like to think that I could start to drink occasionally maybe a bottle of wine a week and an occasional beer or two but for now I want to take a break.
Anyway thats the start of my story, big hello to everybody :j

We decided instead after a while to rear our own meat as we know how it is treated and reared and ultimately slaughtered.
And really we respect the animals and make the most of them ... like Jo with her stock and chicken pie. (And of course the domestic god himself Lurky:rotfl:)
