    Changing the subject completely, do any of you lovely lot have good tips for stain removers & carpet cleaners? Am mainly dealing with foundation & mud stains *shrug*

  • in true MSE stylee - 'Stardrops' in a bowl watered down - or washing powder diluted and scrubbed into said carpet - takes it off your clothes in the wash..................

    and eating leftover surprise :D (a sheet of puff pastry with a tomato base, then last night's veg chopped up and a few pieces of cut bacon on top :))

    Dilute a small squeeze of stardrops in a bowl of hot water and then scrub the stains after hoovering the mud and surface, then blot all liquid away and hope for the best

    Should be ok - stardrops works wonders - I bought 10 bottles last year for 50p each when Mr A was selling them off. Only used 1 bottle so far plus I was using way too much.

    It is great for cleaning windows easily with a microfibre cloth to dry and wipe away excess with no streaking!

  • HB - I use baby wet wipes for everything like that - it really works! Even the carpet shop recommended it to me when I asked them about blood from one of the kids nosebleeds on new bedroom carpet - it came out no problem.

    I get my stardrops at Mr Sainsbugs - its only a 300 milie trip (each way) but worth it:rotfl:
