02 PAYG Mobile Broadband - £8.75 Profit

I've been comparing the standard PAYG SIM tariffs on 3 and Voda.
3 gives you 150Mb free internet with every top-up (£5min I think), plus each additional mb is 30p.
VODA by comparison seems a rip off. £1 for up to 15Mb in a day, then £2 per Mb ( YES £2 !!!!)

http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/price-plans/pay-as-you-talk-vodafone-simply
but elsewhere on the Voda site, it says 50p per day with 25Mb limit

Anyone know what it really is?
the 3 deal is the better deal, though they still expire after 30 days

sorry everyone for sounding so silly, can anyone please tell me why do we need a simcard to use the dongle for internet.0
-
Thanks, but you misunderstand. I already have a dongle via this offer.... I'm looking for the best SIM deal to put inside it.
I will have very infrequent use, so need credits that wont time out every month....
Vodafone is the best PAYG deal if you buy the dongle and sim together (although it's not as good as it was!).
I think 3 is your best bet if you are going to use the O2 dongle.
Vodafone has the best coverage. 3 and O2 sims dont work where I live:mad:0 -

This dongle allows you to connect to the mobile phone network to access mobile broadband. The supplied software is also a Wifi MANAGER, but there is no Wifi hardware support inside the dongle - so this is NOT a Wifi dongle, it's essentially a mobile phone without a keypad.0 -
Thanks for this post.
Sold it on E-Bay for £14. About £20 profit(including points) :j :j.

I had a nightmare getting the Parental Control turned off, wouldn't let me view hotdeals!
If you use only for browsing, virgin's good as it's capped at 30p per day for upto 25meg (a couple of hours browsing)
T-Mobile do a six month internet booster for £20, 1Gb a month.
Remember though, none of these are supposed to be used in a modem!Next year we'll be millionaires!0 -
