Any advice how to permanently switch off Google Suggestions? I've got a new laptop with Windows 7 and I can switch off the query suggestions under preferences each day but after I've shut down they come up again the next day. Apart from a lot of the suggestions being inappropriate I just find it irritating!

No problems whatsoever with Windows 7 (and XP) here; wonder if it affects a particular version - I'm using Professional. Possible firewall issue? Third-party add-on? Affecting only IE/FF? Anyone else with the same problem...0

It's not a fault, it's just a function of Google
Open Google
Top right click on settings > search settings
Look near the bottom
Put dot in the box which says "do not offer search suggestions" or something
Click apply, Google no longer gives you search suggestionsOwner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them

Oopps
Obvious question first, have they cleared all temporary cookies etc. Have they tried creating a brand new profile on computer. Could be a corrupted ntuser.dat file (if Windows 7 uses them)Owner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them
