I've started using Mitchum roll-on lately and have found it to be much better than any of the normal brands (and not too much pricier, as it comes in a bigger bottle!) ... Question 1, just wondering, is Boots ownbrand equivalent (can't remember what it's called but the bottles are very similar to Mitchum and it's 50p cheaper) as good? ... Question 2, I also use it on my inner thighs as I'm slightly overweight and get horrendous sweat rash due to chafing (sorry if TMI!) - is there a better product for this? ... Question 3, the thing I hate THE MOST is sweat pouring from my face, is there a product on the market (or a natural remedy - this is OS after all) which I could use to improve this?

    Just found this thread.

I tried Dricolor a few years ago. It stung like nothing else initially, but I got used to it.

RE: the surgery - you've got to weigh up the risks of the operation vs the benefit - the idea of arm weakness / weird sensations are not comparable to excessive sweating. Although in saying that I'm a lot more relaxed about sweating than I would have been. I think most of the time if you're less self conscious about it, you sweat less. So relax.

But yes, I might try Mitchum!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Having reached, and passed that 'time of life' mentioned by a previous poster, I can vouch that I have only developed a perspiration problem since then. I put it down to carrying (quite) a few extra lbs and have noticed that I have to avoid walking in the hot sun or I am dripping from head to foot if I do. :o
In hot weather daily walks have to be early or late, as does any gardening I do.

    Things which help generally are:

Drinking cold drinks and avoiding hot. Plenty of cold water to drink.
Avoiding spicy foods, onions and garlic, which do nothing to help the aroma.
The realisation that it is not just armpits which need constant vigilance. I have noticed changes in my body later in life. Those little folds need gentle maintenance.:p
Close attention to personal hygiene, although constant showers will eventually cause skin problems - better to attend to 'problem areas' several times a day.
    Cotton underwear & cotton-rich bras.
Daily exercise (walking, mowing, etc) has helped to build my tolerance level. When my fitness levels were lower I broke out into a sweat even sooner.
Trying to stay calm and 'cool' ('Don't sweat the small stuff')

BTW Evans make 'comfort shorts' to stop the thighs chafing. Has anyone tried them? I think long drawers would make me feel even hotter (and remind me of late MIL) but anything is worth a try...

We must be the only group who enjoy these dull summer days.
