Laptop dead - got XP disk - help required

what are the options, do you need to recover any data?

I think f10 on those allows you to reinstall everything, its a factory reset area , is that an option listed ??

If I can then that would be great but I don't have any blank disks

The options are:

Non-destructive System recovery
Systen Recovery No format
System recovery Quick format

try the first option , non destructive sound like no loss of data (but no promises)

1st option should leave data intact, so select that.

Other 2 options will wipe your data regardless, but if you want the data, there are ways of getting it before you go down this route.

You didn't need the reboot disk to do this btw.

The disk is out I took it out after trying it last time.
