If i am viewing i would never park on the drive, always on the road.

When we were looking to buy we always did the same. I think it;s quite rude to go up someone's drive uninvited. :rotfl:

Maybe it's just me, but when we were moving house, I parked on the drive of every property we were viewing! And I moved my car from our drive when people were viewing our house so they could use the drive. I would never have dreamt that people may have considered it rude, or have been offended by it. I would always expect any visitors to our place to park on the drive, rather than on the road.

One couple who looked at our house when we were selling asked if they could try their car in our garage to make sure it fitted OK, and I never gave that a second thought..

I think that's a reasonable request - and they asked.

I wouldn't park on a stranger's drive though. I never even park on any of my relative's drives when I visit - apart from my sister's, but that's only cos she's got enough room for about a dozen cars. With most houses you'd stop them getting in or out of their own drives if you parked there. If you were going to view a house and when arrangements were made, the sellers said 'just park in the drive when you arrive' then that's fair enough. But that's probably just me. ;)
