"Recorded delivery is pointless as items are still nicked. Anyone can sign for them, post of the time the postman just signs for it with a fake signature. However, special delivery can't be as it's tracked from the cage to the delivery location so they can't nick the stuff".

Point taken, but if it's sent RD, as opposed to standard 1st or 2nd class, then if it is nicked, it's covered up to £39.

as would a non RD item be
