Hey guys i'm new here, and cant seem to find the right thread to post this ... I recently bought 4Gb of Corsair Gaming RAM from eBuyer, £79.99 all in, with delivery... It arrived on 7th Jan, i installed it, but soon after was getting crashes and blue screens all over the place, did a memtest on it, and that returned 14 errors on each stick ... So i set up a return order with them, which stated that i had to return the RAM at my expense, did so on the same day, 1st Class recorded delivery in a padded envelope..
They haven't received it back yet, it's been a week, tracked the order with Royal mail, says it's been delivered to them, they are saying it hasn't .. Now they are refusing to send out a replacement until they get the faulty goods back? What do i do?
I don't know what to do now, I've told them Royal mail are saying it's been delivered, they're just saying No, we haven't got it...
Am i stuffed? any suggestions?

ask royal mail for a copy of the sign record at the other end let royal mail prove to you they have it. thats a starting point and take it from there!
with that info show ebuyer they have had it. if royal can't prove it then the dispute starts with them!0 -
As above, start with Royal Mail. I've returned lots of things to eBuyer with no problems (although I think they're under new management these days).
If you look on the eBay board there are loads of stories about posties signing recorded delivery themselves, delivering it to completely the wrong place or just leaving packages without any signature at all.
But... if RM did lose it, 1st class recorded only covers you up to £38 in compensation. So I'll keep my fingers crossed for a stuff up at eBuyer's returns department for you0 -
You should be able to view the scanned signature of the person who accepted the parcel by entering the tracking number on royal mail's website. You can then send the link to Ebuyer, and tell them that this proves they have the item.
I don't think you will get anywhere with Royal Mail, as they will just say the item has been delivered and signed for.0 -
Had no problems with returning stuff to Ebuyer but I use Special Delivery.I went away and now I'm back.:j:j0

Well recorded delivery isn't really suitable for sending anything worth this amount of money. But as the other's say, you should be able to see the signature online within a couple of days, if not, u should contact customer services.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Special Delivery is exactly the same as Recorded Delivery in terms of security, except it offers a next day timed service. Recorded Delivery works at the same speed as normal 1st or 2nd class post.
The insured value on RD is lower, but you can increase this by paying a bit extra.
Pointless to use SD for something you just want signing for, RD does the same job.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

try contacting the delivery office local to ebuyer(google the postcode+royal mail sorting office
i would expect ebuyer to get a large volume delivery daily
they can check the tracking number with the duty it was delivered to
however you may have to go small claims with ebuyer given you have done all you can and have proof of delivery0 -
Did you use Ebuyers return Label with the RMA number clearly displayed on the front of the package?
Did you also print another one off and put it inside the package?
If not, they may well have received it but not have a match with the expected returns so will have to filter it by hand.0
