Is my company being unreasonable?

Hello Folks,
I had a week off just before christmas to spend time with my wife who was heavily pregnant. She then give birth on New Years day, so I took two weeks paternaty leave.
I have now asked for the 29th Jan, 1st and 8th Feb off, but they have been refused because work say I have had too much time off recently.
I tried to explaine that the 29th and 1st (Fri & Mon) off so we can go and visit my family, as I have lots and its would be easier than that lot comming down.
The 8th I want so I can look after our little girl while my wife goes to a meeting.
Are my company being unreasonable?

Would they have said No if it had been a full week you were asking for?

Put yourself in your employer's shoes. Would he consider your family meeting the baby as contributing to his business?

You have had 3 weeks off in the last month, I don't think its unreasonable. Why? all I want is to let my family meet my little one! The reason I had the week before christmas off is because I couldn't take it any sooner. (to many people in dept off)
Well other people might want some time off and was not able to because you were off!

Presumably, you have x days leave due to you this year [does your year go Jan-Jan or Apr-Apr?]?
You don't have to tell them why you want leave, so I'd be asking when they think you are going to be allowed to take your leave again, as you have x days left, which on average means y days per month so you can't see why they are not allowing this leave to be taken. I am assuming that you have given them enough notice to take this?0 -

29 and 1 are fri and mon over a weekend and the 8th is a monday.
Its really pi55ed me off. I'm finding it hard enough being away from the both, let alone saying I cant spend time with my family with her.0 -

Try working for my company; if you don't have brats, you're a persona non grata.0 -
