Interestingly enough there are quality receivers available which can receive terrestrial (Freeview) and free to air satellite programmes, all on one machine.
These receivers knock spots off proprietary boxes. The only slight drawback is that the satellite channel frequencies need to be input and/or scanned on installing the receiver for the first time, and at any time the frequencies change. Unfortunately, we have become spoon fed when it comes to satellite receivers so that some may feel intimidated by proper receivers.
That said, any reputable company, Satellite Superstore above being one, will offer a pretune service.
These receivers can be used with a motorised dish, given you not only 'Freesat' channels, but thousands of other channels.
