  • As she spends a lot of time in church, why don't you get her an audio bible, she might find it very uplifting to hear the word of God at home as well as in church.

For Christmas i got my Gran (87) a nice vase (no-one ever knows what to buy her so she ends up with flowers from everyone!!!) and she's just had her bathroom turned into a shower room so a gift set of dove shower gels (I think it had 5/6 mini bottles of all their range) which she loved as she was using baby shampoo!!!

I talked to my parents at the weekend, they said she wanted a mobile phone:eek:! So my parents got that for her, and me and OH will buy a digital picture frame and put all kind of family photos together on a card, I'm sure she will like it (if she is so into technology;)). Other relatives are getting a food basket for her, I just hope she will have a nice time at the party. Thanks again for your ideas.

  • it was my gran's 90th this weekend and she specifically said she didn't want presents. so we all agreed to send her flowers - but not on her birthday, at some other time of the year. She lives in sheltered accomodation so has limitied windowsills and limited space and you can't appreciate them all if they all arrive at once!
