What to buy for my 90yr old auntie for her birthday?

Hi,
The question is in the title. My auntie is 90 (my grandma's sister) at the beginning of February, she is having a big birthday party. Unfortunately me and OH can't visit her, she lives abroad and although we booked our ticket through easyjet to see her, they modified our flight time meaning we needn't to cancel the whole trip (wanted to fly on Sat morning and back on Sun night, new timetable meant that the flight was on Sat afternoon coming back on Sun morning-we're going to see her at Easter for 5 days instead).
But we still want to send her something, but no idea what! She lives on her own, spends most of her time in church or cementary, she used to have cats but not anymore. She is in good health, and is a lovely lady. Last year I bought her scarf/hat, bag, sweeties, biscuits, gave her pictures of the family in album, but this time I have no idea what to get her.
Anyone has any idea??Pls help!

It’s my husbands Granny’s 90th birthday today, we got her some lovely shea butter hand cream from crabtree and evelyn and two rose candles from John Lewis and put it all in a lovely gift box from John Lewis with a big bow wrapped round it. Think it cost £23.00 all together.
Hope that may be of some help.0 -
Champagne? I recently had to buy something for a quite ill 90 YO family member - she had to drink it through a straw but she did really enjoy it.
Personally I would go for something consumable - if she doesn't drink is there a luxury food she really likes but wouldn't buy for herself?0 -

My Grandma was 90 almost 3 years ago and I bought her a corsage for her to wear on the day of the party, chose one through google images and sent it to a florist and used interflora.,___,

Has she always lived abroad? If not what about compiling video Birthday messages/favourite memories from friends that she had here. Family could be included too as even though most may be travelling to see her, it would be a nice keepsake for her (and other family members) to look at after the event. If too time consuming, just send a message of your own.0

My 89 year old aunt was upset when I brought her a lovely (expensive) blanket. She said a box of Quality Street would have been nicer . So now I buy her choccies and she always is very thankfull.
Can you find out what she considers a treat and would not normally buy herself? Whether it be candles, choccies, wine, sweets, jam?I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has had to overcome while trying to succeed. I've sent flower cards www.flowercard.com which my eldery Aunts seemed to like. Or if you have pictures to upload www.affectionery.co.uk you can send chocolates with a special message and a small photo under each sweet - you can choose the chocolates as well. I've only just ordered a box of 9 sweets so I can't tell you much more! I'm not sure if they deliver abroad.0

I sent my grandmother balloon bouquets, flower bouquets, theatre tickets/tokens, audio books and a CD player, and last Christmas I made her a calendar with nudie men on it.
She loved that best of all :rotfl:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
