Help with Sky+ HD

i've got sky sports pack at my parents but can't watch it online as it says, "If you subscribe to either Sky Multiroom or Sky Broadband Unlimited you can watch channels from your TV packs live on Sky Player at no additional cost." but i have neither.:(
i think you'd need your viewing card number to link your Sky subscription to Sky player? i've got my sky id set up but not got my viewing card details handy to test it out, my card not activated yet as installation is due on monday...

Just seen that sky are now offering a fre hd box and install. As my order has not yet arrived and my viewing card has not been activated would there be a way to cancel and reorder under the new deal???

Please help as this is a great deal and I ordered only 2 days ago

Hi,

If you only subscribe to SS1 rather than the full sport package, you WILL receive the HD version of the channel.

Sky Player will only allow you to view the channels you are subscribed to at home on a PC, but you must have either a Broadband Unlimited or Multiroom subscription to view. Also, you have to register your PC with Sky...this prevents the customer from using another PC to watch Sky TV. Up to 4 PC's can be registered, but only 1 can access the Sky Player at any one time....

Just be aware that once you have subscribed to Sky, they will give you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING cut price or free, and their customer service level plummets!

The way i see it is that you'll get £50 M&S vouchers on the old deal that costs £30 to install. New deal is free install & £25 vouchers, so yeah losing out on £5 but other than that it's just gonna be the same?

I'm sure you could cancel if you want to at this stage...

No but I had to pay for the box too in order to qualify for the cashback as offer codes dont work in conjunction so really lost out on around £45.
