    Hi No 7

DON'T go to a company which is going to charge you fro your DMP. There is no point, you are simply paying for something which you can get for free with CCCS, Payplan or Christians against Poverty. You will also take longer to pay off your debts as some of the money is going to the company and not your creditors. Cancel it all and give one of the guys above for a chat, they can get you started really quickly and handle most things for you, and by the way we've all spoken to creditors at some point and no one died, so its not worth all the money a fee paying company will charge you. Also welcome, and well done for realising that you have a problem, and keep posting here, we're all in the same wobbly boat but helping each other through with giggles and hoots and advice, so do join in.:T:T

    Afternoon

That is good news PDD, good to see they're finally realising that people want to pay back their debts...they'd just like a bit of slack when their situation changes.

Hope everyone is having a good hump day! :)

    Hi No7 and welcome!

I agree with PDD's advice - DO NOT pay a DMP company. CCCS/Payplan are non-charging organisations and they do exactly the same thing, if anything a lot better than the fee charging companies.

Unfortunately, you will get calls and letters - that can't be helped, the creditors will try and put pressure on you. The good bit is that you will get used to the calls, you will find ways to open the post, and you will feel so much better.

You're in the right place :)
