    :cool: hi guys, am a bit confused, sorry to keep on about this but it worrys me that if they take the money out my account we'll have nothing to live on for a month.

    I dont do online banking so will have to go into bank, ughh!!

    if I go in and cancel DD next week, will alarm bells not go off at Lloyds because its their bank and their loan and cc . If I cancel DD and then sent the letter next week, their gonna get it before the 25th (payday). or do I cancel DD and then wait for the 25th and I've got my money in my hand then send the letter.

    can they take any money before the due date (28th) of the DD. if not then there is no problem, I can go and take my wages on the 25th when they are payed in and just walk them across the street to Barclays.
    :think:
    so sorry if I've puggled everyone, cause I have myself AAAArrHhhh!!!!! ;o)

    Hi everyone, just checking quickly, on what has turned out to be a bit of a crazy Friday! Don't you just love it when people tell you how to do your job!..:mad:

    Seems like you're all plodding along slowly...I've had a letter from Next confirming DMP payments, which I need to sign and send back (going to double check this is ok with CCCS first).

    HSBC/Barclaycard still calling...HSBC 5 times in 30mins, between 8.30pm-9pm...is TAKING THE P*** :mad::mad::mad:

    Anyway, rant over. Hope you all have a lovely weekend in the sunshine :j
    Sign nothing till you speak to cccs, I think they'll say don't sign at all! Had similar from Next, alongside a new credit agreement, cccs thought they were trying to get me to sign something to try and get extra dosh, dodgy dealings:mad:
    hsbc and bc have been most persistent, but stopped now, hsbc only for 2 weeks, as they won't be accepting our dmp so will keep wanting to talk to us, oh the joys!

  • Polly You've definitely confused me, but can I just tell you to go read a DD guarantee (you'll have loads lying about) the DD guarantee puts YOU in control, you can cancel it or leave it or dance with it and it is entirely up to you with what you do with it. The bank shouldn't even ask you why you are cancelling a DD as its NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS cos the DD guarantee guarantees that you have control. So cancel the DD, take your money out and then tell Lloyds about the DMP. I wouldn't credit Lloyds with any great amount of efficiency as it took them 2MONTHS to notice that I had cancelled my DD, and I had written to them, spoke to them a couple of times and CCCS had written to them and it still took them two months!!

    True

    Its definitely positively SATURDAY tomorrow

  • never a daft question, banks play down the DD guarantee but the company I work for operates with it and the FSA are like manaics making sure the customer is always able to cancel if they want, my girls are not even allowed to ask why, they just have to take the cancellation. One thing that does just pop in to my head is that some loans have a condition of a DD to pay them in the Ts&Cs but the bank can't specify that it should be one of their accounts so you could just be changing banks and again, none of their business.

    letters today from capital one and virgin (mnba) accepting my dmp. Where nice letters really esp mbna. Only Halifax, Northern Rock and BCard to hear from. Capital one included a default notice, mnba didnt. iIs this normal???? default notice does say it will stay on my credit file 6 years after debt is repayed so i think i might be right about my credit file being a war zone for at least 12 years. lets hope I can manage to pay everything a bit early. :o

    Hi Candypop,

    I'm not doubting that it says that on the default notice, it's just that it goes against everything I've read... and it's come from Crap One so I'm going to double check the facts as it affects all of us.... hope that's ok?

    thats fine i am going to contact cccs and ask as well. I had a look on national debtline web site buy couldnt see anything
