have letter from the cccs, was on door mat at 3 o'clock, must have missed the postman this morning and it had been there all day, Oops!!
I suppose its just the standered one that they send out, going to have to go to town tomorrow and sort out new bank account before I get my self in to an even bigger muddle:eek: and end up losing a months wages to lloyds,
they gave me a letter to copy and send, I copied one similar from off this site and posted it all off yesterday, although obviously not to lloyds yet, so do you think I should sent this new one too or wait until lloyds account is sorted. if I can do that tomorrow then come home and arrange for everything to be transfered...wages,tax credits etc.
have to say they were very quick in getting back to me only contacted them on monday (cccs)

That's a good sign, that they took care of you so quickly. Don't tell your existing bank until everything is sorted out and salaries and benefits are all safely directed to your nice shiny new bank. You don't want to lose it all to Lloyds or anyone else.
Great progress, it feels good doesn't it?:)More than Two Years in

Evening all, still nothing back from CCCS and no contact from creditors, getting frustrated waiting. I posted the paperwork all back on Saturday, how long does it usually take to get the "we have contacted your creditors" letter and welcome pack? There is nothing out of the ordinary about my application so there should be no reason for any delay....Paddle no. 12
DMP start 1st April
Debt at LBM £23,0000 -
not just that they are my old bank but my biggest creditor, took out my loan with them and one of their credit cards thats why I'm waiting coz they will take anything in the account they can get their hands on
But yes you are right it does feel good, and hopefully now we might be able to live a little bit too. not a lot but more than we have been :jlife sometimes gets in the way of good intentions:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

At least I know PP are processing things for me, it had been very quiet and I was beginning to wonder if I should be doing something? After the heady rush of changing DDs the others week I'm wanting things to happen. Talking of DDs did you all contact your old bank or did you just ket the people taking the DDs know you have a new bank?
Hiya Gibbs!
What I am doing is as soon as my old DD goes out I contact the people who are taking the direct debits and give them my new bank details and then I go and cancel the old ones. Simples!
Also about canceling PPIP - if you look on the justabank website you should have the option to print a letter. There are some great letters on there for you to send if you feel a bit nervous about phoning your creditors. There is a letter on there you can print off to cancel any card protection insurance you have. These are just pdf files you download and open and then print off. I did so with all my creditors (barring HSBC - we aint told them nothing yet!).
Good luck!Paddle number 22

am I just thick (did I say that before???)
Thanks for the replies. the extra "P" was for "Policy". PayPlan say it needs to be cancelled before M&S can set up a DMP. Why do have a feeling that when I phone M&S they will send me somewhere else? Oh!!! I know why, because their website say they don't sell PPIs. Think I will phone PP before M&S and see what they say about PPIs. It is over £14 a month, wonder if I can claim it back?Paddle No 21 :wave:0 -
So Ive just completed my CCCS forms and opted for the low start dmp. I assume I'll get something in the post now? I've changed bank accounts, moved all the household things to it and cancelled all other dd's.....so what'll happen next?Footloose & fancy free :j0

Morning All
Yup Slic, Teds exactly right, you'll get a welcome letter from CCCS, giving you that all important number and a letter to send to your creditors. CCCS will then write to your creditors and you're up and running.............You may start to get letters telling you how the various creditors are going to deal with your DMP, you may get the odd phone call (I've had 4 phone calls so far, 2 months in). Just don't agree to change any of your payments and keep quoting your number (a bit like James Bond in a jam!), oh and you get to sleep at night as well........More than Two Years in
