Iphone dead after a month

Hi need some advice.

My mum & dad brought an iphone for my sister for xmas from mobiles.co.uk.

Now after a few weeks its dead, no life to it what so ever.

The insurance was cancelled straight away, thinking we'll never need that, how wrong we were!

Where do my parents stand to getting the phone repaired?

Can we ring mobiles.co.uk up and will they repair it?

Thanks for any responces.

Do you have an Apple store near you? Its often easier going to them than the retailer.

Insurance wouldn't be needed so long as its not down to damage, the warranty will cover it.

    So problem solved.

Should of done my research first. :o

As iwanttosave said the best way to get a replacement, is to bring it to an Apple store and get a Genius to look at it. You need to make an appointment on the web, see here

It would be faster, as iwanttosavesays, to take it to an Apple store. They'll do something there and then. CPH will have to send it away.
Look for an Apple store near you and book an app at the Genius bar (don't just go) and they'll most likely give you a new one (as long as you haven't damaged it of course).
  • You will have no problem with apple as long as the phone hasn't been damaged. Try their online help service if you don't have a store nearby, they can arrange for it to be collected, better still would be to visit a store, (make a genius appointment first to save time)
Personally I would not go to any phone shop, but then we are close to 2 apple shops!
  • Just been on their website & as it's 28 days since they bought it they have to take it to carphone warehouse to get it repaired.

CPW will only send rhe phone away, you will be better dealing directly with Apple.

Many thanks to everyone who replied.

Me and my sister will be taking it to the Apple Norwich branch on Saturday.

Also my appologies to musical_norwich on my rubbish grasp on english, i was never good at it in school.

You have booked a slot, yes ?

They won't just do it if you go in on spec, you have to book in first...
(here's the link to the Norwich store if you need it http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/chapelfield/ Click on reserve under Genius bar)
