The initial mistake was caused by the advisor on the telephone . When i noticed this at the jobcentre appointment i was assured that it would be corrected . It wasnt !!
I feel that each dept blames each other and dont work together to help us . I have worked for over 20 yrs and never claimed benefits in my life . I have found the visits to the job centre and the numerous telephone calls to be horrendous .
Do the staff understand how difficult it can be for some people to go into these offices . I felt like a number in a system . I was shown no compassion and not given any help at all finding a job . It is self help i was told .
I asked for all mail to be sent correctly . The jobcentre said they cant arrange for that and i have to ring benefit delivery to ask them . Its one system against another .
I have telephoned , emailed and written a complaint .
Thankfully i am not in a desperate situation yet regarding income , but its made me so determined to find a job asap . I dont think i could take much more of this !

I think all three departments are as bad as one another to be honest! (Jobcentre,BDC, TCO)

I made a claim for JSA last week and what should have been a straight forward claim has since turned into a complete farce!
The JSA was refused because I was getting Working tax credit yet it was BDC that told TCO that I had stopped working in the first place! Lots of phone calls to resolve this - promised callbacks which never materialised.
Then to top it off yesterday I was told that I had missed my signing day on Tuesday and my claim might be closed, yet the Jobcentre adviser told me it was two weeks from when she first saw me!

What really annoys me is that you cannott speak to BDC direct nor the TCO to deal with your claim. It is all done by advice lines who do the best they can but cannot help in the here and now.

The whole system is a joke it really is..
