Cancelling a contract is the easier option than asking for a PAC code. It is better to try the latter by phone first as you need the code to keep your number and it always feels better if someone at the other end confirms that you have made the request.
For some contributors to this thread, please read the hassle that other contributors have had on other threads - particularly "3" it seems plus the shoddy tactics of some bonus-driven overseas call centres that sign you up for a new contract, "lose" the tape of what you really wanted, and then it takes months to unravel.

just cancelled my contract with 3 today (3mnths remaining) requested a pac code and they sent me a text 5 minutes later with the number. best service ive ever had off them as i normally get nowhere

If you have three months remaining you may want to check before you use it, you may be laible for an early termination fee if you use it before your minimum term is up.hi

thats correct ive had to pay the remaining 3 months line rental but the problems ive had with them i am happy to do so0
