wow what a fantastic response. I was unable to to get online last night - too much football on tv
apologies, it is plasterboard and i have not started any skimming yet (or purchased any materials for the job)
i think i may just hire someone local to do it as i have never done skimming before0 -
Good. That settles that one then.santiagobravo wrote: »apologies, it is plasterboard
In truth its 4 or 5 years solid practice, practice, practice for a spread to be good enough to be able to earn a living from it and produce good results. You'd be much better off hiring someone in TBH.i think i may just hire someone local to do it as i have never done skimming before
In case you are tempted to ask I'd suggest you don't be swayed by this new fangled "self-levelling" plaster they are peddling either. In the vids the guy applying it is clearly a pro so I'd expect him to get a proper result anyway. They've edited a part out between him stopping trowelling and the "wow" bit at the end so its suspicious.

Yes plastering takes time to master proplery - This job sounds like a piece of cake should get it done all in Lab + mats for less than £200. 3 average size walls for a plasterer is a nice and easy day.0
