  • Thanks to eveyone on this thread- I have walked past farmfoods in Chelmsford so often ( hi funkymonkey) but was tempted in by the ben n Jerrys. It wasn't there butI got lots of good stuff. 2 packs nairn oatcakes for £1 and I haven't tried the frozen berries and rhubarb but it looks good at 2 packs for £1.60. Skinny cow stuff...mmmm and pataks jars for 60p seems like a good deal. So thanks- I confess I've been a snob and been missing out. I am converted.:o
  • I went into a FF in Bristol today and the B&J wasn't there and wasn't going to be carried anymore... This is sad as it was one of the fine treats and deals!

Bought Haggis truffles last week (£1.50 for 6 -'bout the size of a large meatball) it comes witha peppercorn sauce. Absolutely delicious but my husband and I are haggis nuts. Was in the "Things That You Like" cabinet. Husband has ordered me to go and buy more.

Went to my local Farm Foods (Darlington) for the first time in about a year. Won't be going back. Nothing against their products (although they don't seem as cheap as they used to be) but the staff were appauling!

I bought a packet of Bingo bars for 60p and they had a special of two packs of Oreo biscuits for £1. The till rang up £1.80. I queried this and was virtually called a liar! My Mum was with me so went to check the shelf edge and sure enough a sign saying Oreos 2 for £1. The assistant wouldn't believe her so went to check herself then came back gumbling and begrudingly reduced the price to the right one. She then told me I couldn't have the receipt as they needed it for proof to where the 20p had gone!

No customer should have to put up with that kind of behaviour!
  • That does sound bad and well worth a letter to the branch manager or even head office. They need to know these things - especially if it is going to be putting people off going to there stores and all the people you tell ( a few thou on here!!!)

  • I've sent a polite email via their website just to get it off my chest as it were. Don't know if anything will happen but it made me feel better. ;)
  • Well I've just had a very nice letter off them and £10 worth of vouchers - will put them away towards Christmas supplies! :)
