Hi all
I did look around to see if there was another one of these anywhere, but i couldnt find it ( mods feel free to merge if you find one)
I have just been to my local farmfoods and feel the nedd to eulogise about what a great shop this is.
Im sure theres variable quality in the unbranded stuff but theres some great named stock there as well.
My purchases and spots today are
4 nouvelle toilet rolls £1 ( altohugh they are on offer in sainsburys I believe at the mo- this is a constant price in farmfoods)
4 Hollands chicken & veg pies 40p
4 daloon veg spring rolls 40p
Large steak pie jonh bulmer or whatever hes called they sell them in sainsburys usually, quite good- especailly for 40p
2 for a pound section I got
rolo arctic roll & 4 mcdougalls pecan plaits (bake at home style)
Linda mccartney sausage rolls buffet size bogof at 1.25
2x ben & jerrys ( only 2 flavours tho) for £2 ( unbelievable)
There were literally SHED loads of pies in the 40p cabinet, obviously this weather is the reason, but it didnt stop me grabbing a bargain
Also there were loads of ready meals, like lean cuisine chinesey ones and stuff like that for 40p as well
Any other spots out there??

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

MAR GC 230.46/ £240 :T:T

just letting you know that they usually send out leaflets with local newspapers.... i regularly get vouchers for £2.50 off a £25 spend and £5 off £50 spend.... which is even more of a bargain since most of their prices are better than any other retailer i go to....0

they also do packs of small nan breads X5 for 40p - kids love them with their curries.
cans of juice also good. 4 cans of irn bru £1, 5 cans pepsi max etc £1.
24 pack of caramel rockys £1.50:love: married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -
i use a lot of chicken - usually buy the "buy 2 save £5" in tescos or sainsburys - so around 1.2kg for £7
FARMFOODS - BAGS OF 500G FROZEN CHICKEN BREASTS 2 for £3.99 (1KG in all)
BARGAIN!
i also love the goodfellas pizza pies (£1 for 2) - they are gorgeous!#113 12K in 2020 Challenge #113 £17,103/£12,000 £150000 -
will look out for the rockys!
dont know if anyone else is lucky like us in chelmsford - our farmfoods is next to lidl - so two birds with one stone!
Just a thought - in lidl the 5 pack multivitamin multi fruit juice drink (pure juice drink - not sugary watery crap) is 79p and they are gorgeous and good for you - much better than iron bru or pepsi for kids lunchboxes!
Just because we are on a budget - doesnt mean we cant teach our kids that nutrition is important!
i only thought that because i once saw a tv program about really really poor familys on a council estate with problem kids etc and the mum was a real fag ash lil - walking back from shopping with FARMFOODS bags in her hands and a fag hanging out of her mouth with kid number 8 in tow lol. just made me think!#113 12K in 2020 Challenge #113 £17,103/£12,000 £150000 -
Loaves of bread 2for £1. I can remember the brand I think its kingsmill, whatever it is Tesco charge 90 odd pence for one.
Oxo cubes 2 for £1 instead of 73p each0 -
bootman- it is kingsgmill - they also have 6 rolls, and plenty of wholemeal as part of that offer
I mean you cant even get 1 kingsmill loaf in my tescos for a pound, let alone 2
@funkymonkey- does a lot of water come out of chicken. I saw it, but was a bit sceptical ....
Also puff pastry in there is 60p which I easily make a large pie ( feeds 6) nad loads of jamtarts with, that half price than other places albeit its a slighlty smaller pack
watch out for the pricing tho, it does very. 2 weeks ago I got a cadburys flake pot and crunchie pot of ice cream for 60p each,. Today, they were 2 for £2...
I cant wait to get stuck into my Ben & jerrys later- Im so chuffed! Luxury food on the smallest of budgets :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
