Mini Sewing Machine

Hiya Everyone

I was just wondering if anyone had a mini sewing machine. Mine doesnt seem to catch the thread underneath and now seems to get stuck on something which means the needle goes down but then wont come back up unless i turn the wheel the other way. does that make sense?

Does anyone know what i can do other than throw it away as i have only just got it and it did work for all of 3 mins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks

its similar to that one but not the same (cheaper version).

hhmmm, think its going in the bin then! netto have a sewing machine for £25 which looks like a full size one but i think its smaller and only does 8 stitches so might have to get that one!

Shame, could have done without wasting the money on it and i cant send it back cos it did actually work when i got it.

I think you can still send it back (depending on where you bought it) as 3 minutes of use is not really "fit for purpose" :)

I had one years ago... it lasted about 10 minutes and was in the bin by the end of the day... Couple of years ago I bought a proper sewing machine from Woolies instead... think it's seen a little day light... but not much! :D

I got it off ebay so i would have to pay for the postage back and they would only refund me if they decided it wasnt working and wouldnt refund any postage so probably not worth it to be honest. I should have known better!

Im sorry to hear of your problem with the sewing machine nuttybabe.
Have you contacted the seller with the problem?
Have you put the problem into Google and see if anyone else has had the same prob (a few by the looks of here lol) and see if anyone has solved the problem?

I wish I could help but I couldn't get on with my little JML one so gave it to my sis. :(

I brought mine from Tesco Direct last week for £49.97 (Tesco EJ09 sewing machine) it is just a bit bigger than the JML one but is light and I keep it in the box as I don't have a lot of room.
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

I have had two of these little JML machines and found them to be rubbish!!

I took them both back and saved up for a bigger one.

Sorry but we must be unlucky, Im sure they are not all rubbish!

hart44 - thanks for the advice, i have emailed the seller to ask if they can help.

kandipandi - i think they are all rubbish! But they are cheap and as i just wanted it to make a few straight lines i thought it would do! will just have to get a more expensive one. Dh told me to get a proper one at the time, might listen to him next time!!!!!! :P

Was the seller a private seller or are they a shop/ big seller?
If the seller is not very helpful maybe you could email ebay and ask for their help, just explain the prob with them.

I have just had a look on Google and there are some good help, not quite sure what is causing your prob but maybe something on here might help.
