Hart44 - brilliant!! Thank you very much indeed for this 'review' - you've made my day!! I've been engrossed in 'The Sewing Room' thread for ages and have just popped back to read this.

Curtains and cushion covers - sounds right up my street!! Hoping to be even more moneysaving by being crafty this year - and use up all the lovely material I have bought/saved over the years (just because it was....well....lovely!!)

OMG - buttonholes. Now thats a scary word for a beginnner ;-))

Great tip re the fuse too - I'll change that before I start now.

It's definately made up my mind - am going to buy it tomorrow!

You are an angel...and I might take you up on your offer of help .......when I can't get the blummin thing out of the box!!!

Lol, yes the thought of doing button hole scares me too (I have never done them, not even at school, that was a long time ago too lol).

One day I will be brave enough to do some so its nice knowing I could do them on the machine.
The instruction booklet is easy to follow too which is what I needed hehe.

I keep mine in the box with the cover as it's nice and light to pull out as needed and quick to set up, I start sewing within mins :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Button holes really aren't as difficult as you think! If I can do them anyone can......:rotfl:

Hart44 - thanks for the review. I now want one!!! Terminally broke at the moment so will have to do a bit of saving first. Ds2 works in Tesco so will be able to use his staff discount, only 10% but it all helps.

  • Wouldn't be for heavy use....maybe cushions, aprons, hemming blankets - that kind of thing :-))

Or maybe you could make something for your ever-loving OH, perhaps?

I'm sure he worships the very air that you breathe :o;):A
