I think the main difference is improved interface to the GPS receiver. V5.000 was terrible at locking on to satellites whereas V5.210 is very slow.
TomTom 3 was very good I cannot understand why TomTom do not bring 5 up to the same standard.

Just bought N500 from Gultronics @£169.20 inc P+P as original post supplier was quoting £184+ last night. Salesperson assured me that Navigon s'ware was included.
