Cheap Sat Nav / PDA NEW PRICE ! (26/8/06)

I have had one of these for six months - company bought one for me. I have never had any probs with it and I can highly recommend it - the build quality is superb. I use it every day for sat nav and as a pda. If you can get one for £150ish then snap their hands off!

By the way I also use it with tom tom V5 without any probs

Well i cant get my tom tom to run on it , it is v5.0 tho i think i need to upgrade to 5.21 as my old PPC was windows 2003 and the new one is windows 2005, will see at the weekend.

Just Checked - On the status screen it says App version 5.000 GPS driver v1.20.

Does this mean its v5.12??

I had to update on the tomtom site for it to work with WM2005

Not sure, just looked on the tom tom site and it does say you need v5.2x and about for windows 2005 so thats why mine did not work

Thats the same one I have on my Micromaxx GPS driver v1.20.
I just don't want my mate to buy one and tom tom won't work?. But as you say yours works O.K. and he could send it back if it didn't work.

No yours is the original, non updated version.

Latest version is App Version 5.210 (5430) GPS driver v1.20.

Hi all,

I have started a thread on this based on its popularity but I am doing my work experience in a company selling GPS systems similar to the TomTom middle range priced at £204.99 for a complete package (includes UK, IReland and Europe maps). Its cool I have used it but be aware that the price will increase at the end of July / August.

Mine came today. No car kit though . Looking at the specs (possibly they've changed since I bought) they don't actually say that's "in the box" but they deffinately show it in the detailed images so I'll call and make a fuss tomorrow...

deanos, how was your car kit packed? was it seperate from the main pda?
