Great deal if you don't have broadband yet and are about to sign up - free activation, free modem and no tie in (other than 1 months notice)....
You can then transfer to http://www.adsl4less.co.uk for only £15 and get unlimited 512K for £15/month.
;D ;D ;DAh! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.0 -
Wanadoo is capped and the usage tracker will take effect from February.

I have found tiscali to be usefull. I pay £25 on a 1 year contract (free setup and modem) for 512k unlimited access.
I have noticed that for £25 I can get 1M unlimited, I sent them an e-mail and have told me that all existing users on 512k paying £25 will be automatically upgraded to 1M.
No limits and very reliable, I stay online virtually 24/7.

I called BT to receive MAC code so that I could enable my 512k Broadband to be transferred to another ISP, I hadn't yet identified who, but at £24.99 for a 512k connection i regarded that as a bit steep, considering there are others who offer a 1mb service for the same price. BT's website quote £29.99 for such a service.
Upon being transferred to cancellations department, I was offered a 'special' deal. I can remain with BT, be ugraded to 1mb connection, and continue to pay the same price of £24.99 per month, whilst having NO minimum contract period.
Takes up to 7 days to appear, however I feel an @ss for not requesting this earlier.
Anyone wanting a 'free' upgrade should call BT now.

I can highly recommend e7even. I've been with them for 1 year now. The deal is pay up front for the year though so some may be put off.
During my year they have offered me some great deals that I have taken them up on.
First added 6 more months for £50. Then last week I got offered upgrade to 1mb line for the rest of my contract for £35. 7 months at twice the speed for £35.
Combine the 2 and you can see £85 for 6 months at 1mb/sec. That's under £15 a month.
No problems with them and customer service has been top notch, I contacted them when I got a new modem and couldn't get it to work (even though I hadn't bought it off them). They have an expensive call number but their email support is quick and friendly and they call you back.
If anyone wants a referral please contact me. Whether you use it or not I really do recommend you check them out. Also check the ratings for them at adslguide. They always get good ratings.0 -
Hi, i want to get broadband and currently have a bt phone line with calls through homecall. I tried to get my broadband through them (£19.99 pm 512, unlimited) but was told that I couldn't because I have a fibre optic cable. ??? I don't understand this as II understood that fibre optic was a newer technology than copper cabling, more suited to information exchange. Any thoughts? And does anyone know what providers i could use. thanks.0
