Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Be grateful of an extra opinion and any guidance offered. You may require his advice on something in the future so I certainly wouldn't snub him or say anything to hurt his feelings.

I am grateful believe me but you cant get on when someone is trying to talk to you constantly. Im not the kind of person to be rude hence why i stay and talk.

I think a kindly 'listen, lovely talking to you but I really have to get on. How about a cuppa when I'm here on xxxxday?' whilst walking him to the door couldn't offend.
  • Well if you do not want the help turn the music up and 'not hear them' or say 'well guess I better be cracking on - thanks for the advice though' or just buy an extra brush / roller and get them to help out...
