Finally got the £100 cashback. Also got the 2 reward payments for the halifax accounts, so thats an additional £110 that can go towards bills/ credit cards this month.
Finally (hopefully) cancelled the recurring payment for Barclaycard, so thats money that can go towards higher APR bills!
Finally got my overdraft sorted out again back to the old one with Hfax, so I can now sort all that od issue out with A&L.Total debt at lightbulb moment (Jan 2010): £23410

OK this has gone up, but shouldn't be going up anymore this month. Payments have gone through to Barclaycard and Halifax which should be clear next week (which will bring this down by £100). Waiting for statements from Lloyds to make overpayments.Total debt at lightbulb moment (Jan 2010): £23410

Suspecting that my cable/internet direct debit had not been done properly by A&L I called the cable company who say they haven't received payment. I had to pay by debit card from my old account. I hope I don't incur a non direct debit fee. A&L are definitely a bunch of clowns. Without this site and you guys no doubt I would have been hit with a late payment fee from my cable company!
I definitely need to keep an eye on things. I fear this isn't the end of the clownery.Total debt at lightbulb moment (Jan 2010): £23410

Finally paid off one of the Lloyds! OD is interest free for 12 months.
Unfortunately they have hiked the fees for the Lloyds cards which is a bit of a pain. Might have to be a little constructive with things in the next few months. Not really sure how I am going to tackle all of this.

I have done the snowball calculator, and by the looks of things it will take us 6 years to pay off all this debt. Things are very tight right now anyway - even 6 years will be tight. I need to figure out another way around things!
Got some vouchers from Sainsbury's for £12 off a £60 shop. Hopefully we can do this for a few weeks and although we will be down a bit of cash maybe the items will last us a whiles!Total debt at lightbulb moment (Jan 2010): £23410

Erk - I hate Halifax, but mostly because they charge £1 a day for the OD now! Going to be tackling that one first myself. How did you get the 2 reward accounts? Did you just apply? And if you just pay the money in then pay it out again, do you still get the reward?:j Currently doing the Swagbucks challenge :j0
