just try your dambdest not to break a nail before monday ...i know i keep hoping and keep phoning but no luck yet ...i dont know if i'm building myself up for a dissapointment either ..


well just had a quote from two guys for moving earth that hubby dug out on sat/sun ...the cost a whopping £80 so the o/d is deff getting hit and storcupboard challenge here we come

I've been doing about 5 runs to the dump the past week with all the kitchen cupboards etc We did think about hiring a van but too expensive what are you doing to the Garden?

Try having the PMA positive mental attitude, Thing good things and good things will happen.

i must come over all negative sorry everyone ( i thought i was positive as well) the guys are saying it's a skip full they have to move i can see where they are coming form but you know that way you feel when it's like things are gonna be reall tight this month and then you get landed with another bill...gonna keep a running total...but on the very bright side (and thank you rich i think it's your fault lol) i found a penny on my driveway ...probably mine but i found it so it has just winged it's way to my penny jar which i have no doubt will be emptied this month ....

well well well ...using pma (thanks again rich) and the sneaky tactics someone else suggested (thank you you sneaky person you know who you are) my lawyer does actually exist ...i know this cause i spoke to her ...she says that she dealt with my case just today (mmmm ) and that i should have a letter either tomorrow or monday at the latest ...hopefully it will be a good offer come in ..now i have heard apparetnly you dont accept the first offer ...but hey sounds like we are a step closer ...so am sitting here feeling quite chuffed that my perserverance and a cunning plan have came together ..will let you know when the offer comes in if i have reason to be

Great news about your lawyer, lets hope she comes through with an offer soon!

Re the earth - is it just soil? I'm just wondering if it's something you could advertise (for collection only, obviously) free to a good home?

If not, would it be cheaper to hire the skip yourselves and load the earth into it yourselves (not sure how much you're talking about, so sorry if it's a silly idea). You can often hire a skip from the council for cheaper than you would from a private company.

if i couldve i wouldve free cycled it snaggles ...but and wait for it ...whenhubby started digging up this is what he found ..top layer was wee stones about half the size of a red chip....underneath that was a layer of teram we thought that was it but no underneath that was a layer of slabs underneath that a plastic layer underneath that earth underneath that another layer ofplastic and underneath that a layer of crazy paving ...i think my house is now 15 ft taller ...shouldve know when i decorated the bathroom the other month we found two layers of tiles and a hardboard layer ...i think my house must be bigger than i think lol

Lol, if you strip everything back, you might gain another room....or another floor!

We had the same thing in our old flat - about 3 layers of tiles in the bathroom - it was about a foot wider by the time we'd finished pulling them all off.

Have you finished your night shifts again now for a bit?

no i start a minimum 77 hour week on sunday really not looking forward to it...i think i might just have a wee room somehwere .

i'm quite glad hypno and ii are doing this least damage challenge as i just looked at the bank account and it really is gonna be tight this month might need to cut back by another 10 a week ...

What would life be if it weren't for challenges!!!!

Take each day at a time, give yourself a wee smile when you get through another day without disaster and before we know it, June will be here and we will be stinking rich.

(OK, maybe June 2011 would be more realistic, but we can still think positively!!)
