well it didnt work out very well telling hubby so have phoned up and explained that things have happened and we cant take them ...hubby thinks (and i can see his point) we need to get out of debt frst and have some savings and also with us going to cyprus he doesnt want to have to rely on people to watch the cats ...so we aint getting them ...hubby has been given the task of ebaying from now on as i have too much to do with work (50 plus hours a week) and mbing, pigsback etc etc so i have explained he has to take up some of the slack ...we have so much stuff in this house to get rid of and if we can get some money then fine ...so he'll need to learn how to ebay (this should be fun) m friend who ebay's alot thinks that there isnt as much money to be made doing it as there used to be can anyone shed any light on this? ...anyway have to go get ready for work0

ok not sure if 've already said this before or not so here goes ...bought the digi box at a cost of £35 ok i usually pay £25ish a month so that's £300ish a year on cable tv now i'm down to £35 good saving am happy with this ...have also started looking at contents/buildings insurance we are usually something like £70 a month (not too sure as it comes out with our mortgage...will need to double check) but i'm positive we can get his down to about half,it's due up for renewel by june this year so i have time to shop around ...am looking for isa's now although we arnt debt free yet it will be soon and although we do plan on going on holiday (will need to get holiday insurance aswell) andnot saving like mad beavers this year ...next year we will need to get our skates on so that we never land up in this mess again so i'm thinking a wee £50 a month into an isa get's us used to saving and hopefully the feeling that will go with it will spur us on to do more next year0

I think you need to be careful of what you list on ebay ... don't just list everything blindly and hope it sells because if it doesn't, you still get charged a listing fee... Make sure to do the homework by searching completed listings for similar items. If there are loads of unsold items don't bother listing it!Pennies make pounds.

have also started looking at contents/buildings insurance we are usually something like £70 a month (not too sure as it comes out with our mortgage...will need to double check) but i'm positive we can get his down to about half,it's due up for renewel by june this year so i have time to shop around ...
Hi El, you're going great guns. Quick tip on the insurance front - get quotes for buildings and contents separately as well as joint - may well be better to do it this way as 2 lots of cash back on quidco!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

well today thanks to a very nice lady i did some more matched betting ..learned quite alot aswell i have to say ..i'm now off to put my 2ps'20p's etc in to the bank it works out at £33 am thinking to myself (i am a bit of a dimwit as i'm sure youve gathered by now) the money i have in my terramundi (for our hols) now i know it's nice to shake it and feel it getting heavier but it aint making me any money infact i'm losing on interest not much i know but if i am to make this a new way of life i have to start thinking of ways of increasing our money so that a) i dont have to do as much overtime b) we can start thinking about savings c) we can start not having to watch every penny (although i do feel it's just me in my family that is doing this one)..we will always have to be careful ...but just now it's getting obsessive to the point i go to bed thinking money dreaming money and spend all day thinking about money checking accounts etc ....0

Good afternoon Elan
I also seem to be spending all my time thinking about money, checking accounts etc. I figure it's not such a bad thing really - after all, I spent a long time not thinking about money and look where that got me ...
What's a terramundi?Pennies make pounds.
