I know you have a 'report abuse' link at the top of the page, but I think a button next to the thanks would be a much better way. There are many scripts out there which forward you to a form and then you just give a reason why. This would make moderating much easier and reporting easier too since it's too much hassle for me to e-mail :j

The red triangle in the bottom left hand corner of each post is the report post button - it will open an email that will go to abuse to.

Why is completing a form any easier then sending a mail to abuse? The email from triangle logs the info about the post and where it is, it's up to you if you wish to add your reasons why or not as the abuse team will look into the post and decide what action to take.

There is a report abuse triangle on the bottom of posts, opposite side to the thanks button.

I think the email part of it is so abuse can keep a record of details, but could be wrong on that one.

I noticed that too QB (but couldn't find the appropriate smilie, which you have!)

If a post is bothering you that much you should be bothered to report it. If it's not bothering you enough to email maybe there isn't a problem with it?

when you click on the triangle it opens an email - which takes long time. there is a built in script with vBulletin boards that runs its own report system. i have it on my board (to see what i mean, click on my name then homepgae) and when you click it, it will open the report page and its just a simple click to send.... its a feature this board should have turned on...

All this knowledge about the abuse button makes one wonder, I don't know anything about it because I never use it.

Yes too much hassle to e-mail. It's not a case of clicking the link, because that opens outlook which I don't have activated on my PC anymore. This means I would have to open up my inbox, copy the link over and then send. One step too many for me, especially when I feel like i'm doing someone elses work. The act of reporting is more hassle than it is to delete a post. This to me seems annoying, and only if the spam is really annoying would I be so botherd as to put myself out.
Probably others think the same too they just don't want to admit it

Yea, but when I see people posting the same link 8 times and it's clearly to their own website, it annoys me

Fair enough, promote yourself, but don't spam.
