It's a large framed poster. It weighs so much because of the frame and the glass.

I have listed it a couple of times now, the bizarre thing is, it always has at least 3 watchers but no-one bids on it.

Think I will just remove the poster and sell it on, and use the frame for something else!!! Not worth the trouble!!
  • Everyone on this board is always really cagey about what they are selling / the item that they are having a problem with.
It is understandable if they have a niche in the market or they are getting something cheap and making a killing, but I do not understand it when they are after advice???
With regard to the insured / signed for debate that has been going on - surely it does not matter (much) if the parcel is lost if it is insured.
  • hi

we use http://www.parcelnow.co.uk/ - they are quite good and very cheap - parcels up to 10kg are £9.99 and the price goes up with the weight - i use them all the time.

I find it bizarre some of the things people buy on ebay but like my hubby says - there are some areas in the UK where you just cant get hold of certain items or they even want to buy your item for spare parts. We have an ebay shop and also run an ebay charity shop which raises funds for mediacl research into an incurable condition i have. We get all sorts of crap donated and i feel embarrised to list it sometimes either because it is just soooo crappy or because i'm selling it at 99p and the P&P is £10 or more cos of the weight and yet we always sell the item. OLd broken Printers are worth a bob or two - we get about £5 - £15 for each one and then the buyer pays £10 P&P - they either do them up and sell them on or use them as spares.

Good luck with the auctions and do try Parcelnow - ive used them more than 20 times now for various deliveries and they only let me down once and gave me a credit for the next time i used them. Basically you book online, pay with paypal or credit card/debit before 12pm and they will pick up between 3pm and 5pm and deliver within 24/48 hours - depends which service you use. Funny thing is they contract the actual delivery out to parcel force - the same weight parcels with parcelforce would cost about £4 - 5 extra!

    Hope this helps
