A few points of note ,
Are files allways in mp3 format on napster or could they be wma or aac files.
Try searching for one of the song titles not giving a file type , just type panic and search imagine that would be on there Greatest Hits.
Not sure how napster downloads if it uses torrents perhaps you need a torrent programme to download properly.Seems unlikly though.
Torrents are mainly used for streaming files from lots of sources. You download a small file that you could say was the address (dont know proper term)then it uses this to locate the needed files.
Also peer to peer software can be disabled by some firewalls so your security settings may be blocking the incoming file though id imagine youd get a warning or a request.
Find a picture online right click choose save as jpg see where it dumps that file on your computer.
All 40 songs should amount to more than 120mb so it wont download in seconds for sure.0 -
cellar, the songs are listed on napster as mp3's. I changed my firewall settings, to allow anything napster related. I'm too tired to really try anything else right now but I'll have a go tomorrow.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Check to see if you have actually downloaded.
How do I download the MP3s I've purchased but not yet downloaded?
Any MP3s that you've purchased but not yet downloaded can be downloaded from the Track Purchase History page found under the My Account menu:
In The Napster Web Service:0 -
This is of little relavance but on freebies forum theres a shortcut for a free spotify account posted by hornet. Hope you get your songs back0

It's the track purchase history that I'm going to, it comes up with 'download' next to everything, then when I click it it changes instantly to 'downloaded'.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Hi folks,
We have had to delete a huge number of posts in this thread. It is quite disheartening to see a thread where someone is asking for help descend as this one did.
We have left it open for now, as there are some helpful posts between the rest. However, the route that the thread took and how it got there has been noted, and any repetitions in future may call for more serious action to be taken on our behalf.
The golden rule of this forum is 'Please be nice to other MoneySavers'. this applies at all times. If you don't feel like you can do that in a reply to a thread, it is best not to reply.
Thanks

Thanks Dan, some of the posts were quite upsetting so it's good to see it back on track.
Just an update for anyone who was interested. I heard back from Napster and it's a problem their end. The software has a problem with computers that have a certain version of internet explorer on, even if you're using a different browser, so I just need to update that and it should all be fine.
Maybe that'll be useful to other people, I'm sure I can't be the only one with this problem.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
