Sorry, I've never downloaded anything before so don't have a clue about times. Next to each track it says 'downloaded' so I assumed it meant what it said. I waited about 2 weeks before searching for them, after clicking download and leaving it to itself. I'm looking at it again and it says 'your download will start shortly' at the top, and then next to each song it says downloaded.

I clicked download and it asked for an application to use, I specified media player because it wouldn't let me choose itunes. media player opened, but nothing seems to be happening anywhere.

What's winzip? I can download programmes and stuff fine, but this is the first time I've downloaded media items.

did you find the album as a zip file (filename.zip)? Windows should beable to open zip files. Winzip is a program that allows you to create these zip files and also open them as well.

Erm , excuse me, but isn't this part of the forum about helping people who aren't very good technology-wise? All you seen to be doing is insulting the OP and not giving a chance to help her. Not all people are able to download things first time, they may be a problem with the firewall not letting the connection through, or a problem with the download folder.

OP, have you asked napster if they've had any problems? What browser are you using and could you use a different one to see if that could be the problem?

So - your internet browser is looking ok from your description, and your searches (*.mp3 will more than suffice!) that the files are definitely not on your computer!

When you attempt to download - you instantly get a "download complete" message beside each of the songs, but, at the top of the browser a banner appears stating that it will start downloading shortly.

On top of this, when you try to download it asks you to pick an application to download with - you have tried with WMP and nothing happens.

So, going through all of this, can we think of anything that hasn't been tried?

  • Trying another browser might certainly be an option. Does anyone here use napster?

I have tried another browser (ie instead of firefox), the same thing happens. I've opened Napster downloader and changed the settings in there to send the songs straight to wmp, but when I click download all songs it opens up wmp, all the songs say downloaded, but nothing else happens and the songs don't appear. As well as doing the *.mp3 search I've asked wmp to search for all media items and they're not showing, and I've changed wmp settings to make sure it's the default for mp3's. I think I'm going to have to email napster.

Oh I see, so the onus is on us to proffer information:rolleyes:. Another troll!

How can the problem be fixed without you knowing what it is? The OP has explained it to the best of her abilities, which clearly aren't good enough for you. So unless you have another suggestion as to how we could get to the root of the problem, you asking questions seems to be the best plan. If you do have another suggestion then I would love to hear it.
