  • Been doing bits and pieces, got some bad news earlier which upset me (nothing major just something applicable to me which I hope is resolvable) and am winding down a bit now.

Hex - how exciting to uncover it's history!
Summerm - agree with hex, if you can split them it will help, I found that with my girls. Only problem I had after if one of them into the others room and then lots of shouting of "tell ***** to get out of my room"!!
Flying - err emptied DW, DH folded clothes out of the TD, decluttered a beer and played bejewelled! Surely the last 2 count as flying as well? ;):D

Soappie, Dusty, Froddington - I know you are all into this sort of stuff so thought you would appreciate my excitement. Picture on facebook cos I am sad like that.

I certainly do appreciate the excitement - I'll try and find time to check out the pix on facebook xxxx

Crafty - are you sure that's you and you've not been taken over by a Stepford Wife? Stars? Blimey :p:D But well done - go you!

Just been to NN's for gin and gossip. With the cleaning I've been doing for her the last couple of weeks, I've realised that her previous cleaners didn't really look far and did bare essentials. I've sneakily washed a couple of ornaments and they now sparkle. They clearly hadn't been done for years.

We have now agreed that over the next few weeks, I'll do extra hours and give the place a good spring clean from to bottom. She said she had been thinking of getting the painter in to repaint the window frames. I told her all they needed was a bit of detergent and lots of elbow grease. I'll be far cheaper than the painter! And, as us flyladies know, once you've deep cleaned, it's much easier to keep on top of things so deep cleaning is no longer necessary.

Right - off to find lamb chops for dinner.

I do hope she has noticed how much better you are at it then...I wash ornaments too - I find that, if they are dusted and handled they soon look dull - and I like to see them sparkle and shine.

    Congrats Auntie Tooch...

    Evening all

apologies if this is off thread but need to share.

BF waters broke yesterday, and as her birthing partner i left home in a rush - so no flying. Her beautiful baby girl was born this morning and i'm bring both of them home tomorrow morning. As i'm not back home till sunday just 2 make sure both have settled will not be able 2 play catch up.

But was soooo worth it. How humble it is to watch a new life coming into this world. An experience as good as actually giving birth 2 my own DDs.

Sorry had to share otherwise i'd burst

ps does cleaning my friend's kitchen tonight count as flying .... thought it would be a nice welcome home along with the hm bread ready to go in oven & cottage pie 4 tea?

As she smokes like a trooper (even more than me!) a lot of stuff is orange. When I cleaned the panes of glass on her front door this afternoon, the gunge that came off was deep, dark brown

She was surprised to find her hairdryer was actually white and not really a dull yellowy orange!
