Our school they do handwritting practice in special books with lines to help with where the letters go (a bit like music script). Letters are learnt with tails and then joined. Pen licenses are earnt in year 3 once the writing is of a good standard. DS3 liked handwriting practice in year 2 as they played music during it and he found it relaxing (I now need the confused smilie) but he is an aquarian.
Is your DS a leftie? - 2 of mine are and it can make it more tricky
How are his fine motor skills, eg can he colour within lines, pick up tiny beads etc?
Can he trace? - great practice for pencil control
I think there is a fine line between not turning it into an issue and having acceptable standards. HTH a bit.
Think I'll tidy away a muffin now:rotfl:
Tracing - fab idea, so going to practise that aswell, he's a rightie, DD's a leftie so I know all about left handed issues!!! Teaching a leftie to tie laces is a nightmare lol, his motor skills are ok I now think he's lazy, if it was a Wii game or PS2 game there'd be no problemThanks for the ideas

I have finally finished my packing, the main bag anyway with the bag for the plane stuff next to it, will finish doing that later.
Can I ask for some special thoughts please? The daughter of a friend of mine is very poorly, she always has been to be honest. She was born with severe liver problems and spent the first 4 months in hospital, every now and again things get worse and she is back in for a few days. I found out the other day that she has been in hospital since New Years Eve and the hospital in 2 hours away from their home. The dad is doing one night at the hospital and mum is at home with their elder daughter and then they swap so they are exhausted. Eventually she will have a transplant but I don't know when, I am not sure how bad she is this time either. Please spare a thought for the parents, her sister but most importantly for her. Her name in Violet so any prayers or thoughts you have would be great. Going to try and get some cuddly toys before I go away tomorrow, one for each of them. Thanks very much xMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

ajmoney - I will be thinking of violet and her family this week
and if there are any flylady vibes going spare then please wish my lovely DH good luck with his two interviews this week. Neither is quite right for him on paper but anything is better than the 15 hour plus per day he works atm without moaning for which me and the monsters can stay at home. Both jobs would involve me working more due to a pay cut but I dont care as long as he isnt running himself into the ground and making his stupid, stupid back even worse.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

1 step - dont take this the wrong way but you (and others) can make yourself very miserable at work. I know, I ahve been ther, done that. What I have accepted is that at the end of the day it is a finite period of time, not the be all and end all. Change your job or change your job to quote my former boss - you can either make yourself miserable (or in your case let someone else make you miserable) or you can look for the best and make it ok. Bull thought I at the time but actually she was right. Work is such a big % of peoples lives, dont let it get you down. Sometimes it pays the bills nothing more, nothing less.
HTH.
Thank you Hex, you are right. My trouble is I think, I let people get too close and cant always tell if people are being friendly (nice) or just sheer nosey (not so nice) to gossip about later.
Going to make tea now and nip round teh shop for chocolate. Some people have a stiff drink, I have chocolate!
Take careIf you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome!0
