KazM I agree with Helen, just try to ignore her, but dont let her forget next time she asks for something
I have had a bath and decluttered some hairs, and tried to re-hang the stupid drapey curtains, made a mess of it, but i am ignoring them:D
I have also mopped the downstairs toilet floor and utility room
ETA: someone hasnt brought their school uniform down for washing, I told her yesterday to bring down everything that needed washed, so tough luck for her, I have said to her before I dont do last minute washing, she will find out I mean it:rotfl::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
Afternoon, just back from picking LO up from my parents. They were looking after her overnight as i was working. Work was interesting, McManagers managed to screw up my pay yet again and a customer called me a c*nt! Nice...
Anyway, head is a bit fuzzy but not sore so will try and do some flying.
Hope your DS's arm is ok Dorastar, sounds painful! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -

Can I ask a question please - its about handwriting in schools, could someone please tell me what the general attitude is towards teaching handwriting to year 2 children, I don't want to go and kick up a fuss if all the kids are at the same level as my son but I'm disgusted with his writing, he knows what shape he needs and gets it down on paper any old way, his shapes are not recognisable with some letters and whilst I don't expect it to be immaculate I do think he should be able to form his letters properly even if not neatly. Do teachers make the kiddies do lines of the same letter so that they practise the shape forming or is it done by getting them to write words so they are practising several letters. My DS son has a newly qualified teacher and I have already had to go in and ask why he wasn't doing any reading with the teacher or TA for over 2 months - we do as much as poss at home but you know what kids are like - they'll listen when teacher tells them and ignore Mum!! His teacher is very nice and I don't want to get her in trouble if its just the way things are done now however I am concerned that whilst he is very good in some areas, ok in others, he just shows no interest or even any apptitude towards writing {I know he's not perfect and I don't expect special attention for him - I realise his faults] and I'm concerned that this will be an ongoing problem unless its sorted now
Cor blimey don't I waffle
So what I want to know is, very basically, how are year 2 taught to write in schools
Thank you

Hi all
Had a very good walk today, 7 miles and felt better for it. Went with one dog (she needed 1 to 1 work) and 2 friends. Ache like mad now though!
Did last coat of paint on the back door and it looks fab...........oldest dog also managed to get gloss on her ear. sigh! Decluttered bacon butties for lunch.
I am really NOT looking forward to tomorrow, as the person who let me down I also work with and have a feeling someone else has been s.... stirring. However I shall go in all cheerful and pretend that I've had the best weekend ever (not spent most of it in tears) but would appreciate some moral support from you all! Like I said my problem is so low key compared to what some of you are going through I feel guilty asking for moral support
Anyway the ironing is calling (trying to ignore it) so had better go and do it......chat later
1 stepIf you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome!0 -
