hi guys ive had a laser printer for like a year and a half now and love it its great to do 2 sided printing ect. However, i now have a laptop which i can plug in and it runs fine but keeps printing the 2 sided printing instructions every time i print which kinda defeats the point as its an extra page and i mess it up. Can anyone suggest how i turn these instructions of? I can still print with it fine but it does it evey time even if ive not unplugged it

thanks for any help guys

It is probably controlled via a setting in the printer driver. Since you don't say what operating system you're running, I can only give instructions for XP. Find Control Panel and click on Printers and Faxes. Now right-click on the name of your printer and choose Properties. Work through each tab until you find a relevant option. I would guexs the Advanced tab for an HP printer, but as they say in the US, "Your kilometerage may vary..."

  • How old are you?
  • hi guys thanks for your ideas. Ive had a look around the preferences and i cant see anything that affects the instructions could you give me an idea what im looking for?

The laptop is windows 7 but it worked on xp before and doesnt print multiple instruction on the xp one.

    The printer is Lexmark e120.

Totalsolutions ill tell you my age if you can explain how it is relevant to my problem?
  • I only talk to kids older than 5yrs and I can read and converse in English, does that help at all?
  • Excuse me? i dont think many 5 year olds are faced with problems with 2 sided printing. You have still failed to give any kind of advice so all i can deduce is that you are looking to pick a fight. If so please go elsewhere.

I would still love some help with this problem guys i cant find how to change this setting.
  • What's the problem I cannot pick out what you are trying to say about the duplex print job on the new laptop, you do not make any sense. Not looking for a fight right now can I be your best friend ?
  • it keeps printing the 2 sided printing instructions every time

What is the point in telling me how to do 2 sided printing every time I print and using an extra page of paper. The point of two sided printing is to save paper. I want to turn of these instructions. I understand how to use the printer and I didn’t have this problem on my computer.

What is unclear? two other people managed to work out my request.

What annoys me is that you were looking to insult me. I am asking for help and your first two responses were to make fun of my English. Does this mean that people who have dyslexia; English as a second language or simply make a mistakes are not entitled to help?
  • Hi , when you select print and set properties to two sided/duplex before you press print do you get another screen about how to do the duplexing ? or does it go away and print the instructions anyway
