hi all,
I have a few thread on here about claiming ppi . I have tried to go through loanchecker and another company to claim my ppi back . I also tried on my own before i went to them but got stuck when i was told the FOS are only able to investigate businesses if they were covered/protected by GISC or FSA, the FSA taken over from GISC in Jan 2005, but not all businesses was covered by GISC.are not able to investigate, i complained to FOS and was told pretty much the same .I didnt know what to do so gave up .
I am thinking about trying again by my self but with me already having ago do you think its a bad idea ??? what shall i do first i need walking through this please i did the templates on here before, before i gave up. Dont know what to do really for the best
I have rang FOS today who say they closed my complaint due to the fact that Blackhorse wasnt covered by GISC or FSA at the time of my policy . But the nice lady said if i writea covering letter to explain that i am still unhappy they will open my complaint up again and write to the insurers :T.
I wrote to the FOS about one account but i have had many loans with Blackhorse where the same would apply do you think FOS would look into them aswell or do i have to do them all separate , i dont have account numbers to ALL of them .0 -

Good one Katie.......:T:T
Yes when you write your letter just let them know about the account numbers, and they should write to them on your behalf and request for al the information.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Just to update you all,
I recieved a letter from FOS yesterday saying they have written to Blackhorse(Lloyds TSB) to tell them I have a complaint. Before FOS consider a complaint they have to give the business a fair chance to put it right so i am to write to Lloyds TSB giving details of my complaint. They are to give me a final response in writing within 8 weeks and if I am still not happy I then can pass it to FOS to investigate the complaint further .
It sounds a bit long winded but I hope Blackhorse (Lloyds TSB) get on with my complaint and not mess me around WELL I CAN LIVE IN HOPE :rotfl:
As anyone else had this response from FOS is it the norm ??0 -
I recieved a letter today from Blackhorse (Lloyds TSB) saying they dont agree I was mis-sold ppi but as a gesture of goodwill they will refund me the full ppi and a statutory intrest on each insurance payment made calulated at 8% simple from the date that each payment was made untill statutort intrest is paid, which is in line with the awards made by FOS in such cases .
Can anyone help with the last bit I dont understand it .But a good result I think ???0 -

Hi Katie, well done and Congratulations.:T:beer:
Even though its an offer, it looks like they are refunding all as stated, but in regards of awards made by the FOS, check the link out here that our Maxdp posted up a little while ago, it's very helpful.
