Holidays in Paphos

Hi everyone,

I am looking at going on holiday to Paphos in June/July. I have never been before, would anyone be able to tell me what its like etc, what the weather is like, is it cheap or expensive, hotels etc?

We would be flying from Birmingham and its me and my fiance going, we are 23 and 25 if that is going to be of any help.

Thank You

I like Pathos . weather will be hot .
    is it cheap or expensive,

It was cheaper a few years back , but thats the problem with the £.
Try trip advisor or Holiday truths .

Cant help you with Hotels , my choices were 5* and expensive ( v , nice)
Restaurants around the harbour , much better than some further up in town.
My personal fav , second to last towards the castle, will be clearer if you walk around the harbour.

It depends what sort of holiday you like.

    If you are happy with...

    1)crap,sparse ,overcrowded beaches
    2)Poor quality restaurants/over priced
3)An airport which is inefficient and overcrowded
4)Being pestered by cockney scrubbers and lads selling timeshares
    5) a general chavtastic atmosphere
    6) Rubbish, hyped up sites like the Tombs of the Kings ..blah blah blah
    7) Lots of building, drilling and concrete pouring..

    Then have a nice holiday.

I went once and i wouldnt care to repeat the experience. Not in Paphos area anyway. Other parts are slightly better.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

We went to Kos a few years ago - very nice, good weather and not too expensive - lots of restaurants, we checked our hotel on Trip Advisor. Several reviews on there named good restaurants in the area and they were pretty accurate!

We went to Pathos last September for the first time and we stayed in a 5 star hotel (around £1,000 for b&b for 7 nights for 2 people) and so could avoid the chavs. It was our first beach holiday ever (we normally do city breaks) so we decided not to travel around, so I can't really help re sights, but the restuarants were reasonable if you just want a pizza it was cheaper than the UK, but the restaurants in the hotel were around 3 times the price. In mid September the temperature was around 30 degrees but I think it will be warmer in July.

That's acutally where we stayed in September and we're going back again this year. We really liked it but I know it isn't to everyone's taste (we're in our forties). It is large and impersonal, which we actually like, so if you want a friendly hotel where you can get to know the owners, it isn't for you.

It is expensive which is why we're only going for 7 days. We booked it through Hotels4You.

The breakfast is the best I have ever seen - they have everything you can possible want for breakfast. We made sure that we ate lots at breakfast and so didn't need to have lunch and then went to a local restaurant in the evening. We found the restaurants at the hotel much too expensive.

Let me know if there is anythinig else you want to know.

We worked out that it was cheaper to stay b&b and eat out locally than all inclusive as I think you're also paying for lunch which we didn't need after such a big breakfast.
