  • Hi. I'm back.
    You've been chatty.
Had to walk back too - I don't mind walking but it is a very bad area between the 2 houses. They have cctv but I know it's not manned.
Not that I really care much - what will be will be. :D

I think it's brilliant BB. When we did the Bromsgrove one, there were people doing it with walking sticks (didn't overtake one of them until about 2.5k...that was a bit galling... :rotfl:) so you wont be the only one who finds walking the distance a challenge.

And if I remember rightly you walked further than that on holiday?

Wish I could come down to cheer you on (or walk it with you) but there's no holiday available at work now till November.

oh god yes.......that day OH said we'd walk to Vilamoura and we went the wrong way and it was nearly 30C _pale_ . Actually, if I can do that (there was a small hill in the middle) I guess I can already - just about - walk 5k..........I was a steaming mess by the time we stopped though :rotfl:

aww, that's very sweet of you. I'll be so scared though of the whole thing, I'm not sure how good company I'll be :o I know already my organisation/'order' OCD will kick in - where to park, how can I park, will I be able to park, what time should I leave my house to park, that's not normally my routine for the day etc etc

I've thought about it. Not the same as doing though is it :p
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Well I think they ask you to be there an hour beforehand, and if you are, parking will be fine, as most people arrive at the last minute, knowing they ALWAYS start late (probably because of the people arriving at the last minute!).

I've done a few now and they look after you, there are always....er.....car park people (?) showing you where to park, and if roads are closed, diversions are clearly marked. It really is as stress free as it could possibly be.

Well the main reason for doing these runs for me is for my Dad, I have done 1 5km and 1 10km. THis year I'd like to up the challenge and do both. do you think we would do Leeds again?? as in a group like last time? There isn't anyone to run with here, so if I miss you all signing up I put you in charge of letting me know! xxxxx
