    I do rice pudding with basmati rice, I've never tried it with any white rice except pudding rice. I don't think ordinary white rice would be as sweet as pudding rice but maybe someone on OS can advise?

    bleurgh to rice pudding, I do semolina in my mini SC though. I need more practice though cos it's a bit hit and miss at the mo.

    I think it's the starchiness that makes the difference between pudding rice and long grain. Pudding rice is starchier so will break down more and give a creamier texture. I think...

    That's right Snaggles it has more starch in it I think so it is stickier.
